GUNS N' ROSES Frontman Gets 'Fan' Kicked Out Of San Francisco Concert: Video Available
September 24, 2006A video clip of GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose stopping the band's performance halfway through the song "Sweet Child O' Mine" on Thursday, Sept. 21 at the Warfield in San Francisco in order to have an unruly "fan" removed from the premises has been posted online at YouTube.com.
As previously reported, GUNS N' ROSES has postponed the U.S. dates that were to take place between September 27 and October 5. The dates have been moved to fit into the main body of the tour, which starts on October 20 in Jacksonville, FL at the Veterans Memorial Arena. The rescheduled dates will take place later this year or early next year (depending on show). The shows with new rescheduled dates known so far are as follows:
* Fresno, CA @ Save Mart Center: September 27 -> December 13
* Bakersfield, CA @ Rabobank Arena Theater and Convention Center: September 29 -> January 11
* Reno, NV @ Reno Events Center: September 30 -> January 13
* Sacramento, CA @ ARCO Arena: October 2 -> January 10
Axl Rose has been saying that the band's long-delayed new album, "Chinese Democracy", will be out later this year.
GUNS N' ROSES' "Greatest Hits" collection, which was originally issued in March of 2004, was certified triple-platinum on April 11, 2006 by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for shipments in excess of three million copies. The CD sold 11,000 copies in the United States last week alone (week ending September 17),bringing the total number of copies sold since its release to 3.17 million, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
